Noida: The Mahamaya Technical University (MTU) and the Gautam Buddh Technical University (GBTU), have started providing degree/diploma in various vocational courses as the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has shown green signal to all the affiliated institutes of GBTU and MTU.
The council has begun providing degree/diploma in 23 vocational courses of 10 industrial sectors in the first phase for which the council has asked for theapplication from the interested institutes by April 10.
The AICTE has taken the initiative from this session under the National Vocational Education Qualification Framework (NVEQF). The NVEQF will operate the various vocational courses in all the AICTE affiliated institutes.
VC of MTU, Prof. Kaak said, “The syllabus for these courses will be prepared by the AICTE only and the students will be provided with professional knowledge through related industries. The aim behind the vocational courses is to provide better employment to the students through industrial visits
